Vittorio Ansuini was born and raised in Florence, Italy. In 1977 he moved to New York City and established Firmo Trading Company, an importer and distributor of Italian luxery goods in the United States. In 1981 Mr. Ansuini was appointed as Executive Vice President and U.S. General Manager of Pineider SpA., the renowned Florentine stationary and leather goods emporium.
After a successful career in luxury retailing, Mr. Ansuini turned his attention to one of his personal passions, Tuscan cuisine. With Mezzogiorno, his philosophy was simple yet refined: create a dinning experience that focuses on food with uncompromising dedication to authenticity, quality, and consistency.
